That has to be one of the hardest set of fixtures this year, some decent odds to be had mind if you're willing to take a chance.
United for example could be worth a shout at that price, I know Everton need to bounce back but United haven't been playing too bad lately and I reckon will run Everton close, I suppose it's all about whether United want Europa league football next year or do they try and do a Liverpool and just focus on the league for a season to get back to winning ways.

I'm being drawn once more to Villa too, I know I shouldn't be on their current form but after Southampton's defeat to Cardiff last weekend it's making me wonder if they are already getting ready for their summer break.
Another huge game for Villa; not that that matters because as they have been garbage lately but they can't really afford many more slip up's with only two out of their last 5 games being at home.

I'm also going with Arsenal, I wouldn't have touched it a couple of weeks ago but now Hull are in the FA cup final they may lose some focus like a lot of teams tend to do, I'd be more confident if Hull were statisically safe in the Prem but it's just one of those game where you get a hunch what the outcome will be.

Villa have lost 4 on the bounce - so we must be due a win:lookaround

I think events of the last week may mean a couple of the youth team will play this week which will freshen things up a bit.

Smallish stakes on Villa this week then for me

Remy only on the bench for Newcastle, might be worth doing ht-ft scores hoping for Newcastle to improve 2nd half

    8.0 draw / newc
    46.0 swans / newc
    17.5 swans / draw

Well that's one way of using the stats mate:lol.

I'm looking forward to the Chelsea game which may not be as straightforward as we might think and the Norwich Liverpool game for the same reason.

Rest I couldn't give a toss about to be honest. It's getting to that stage of the season.

Does 13/2 look value for the draw in tonight's game (Chelsea v WBA) to anyone else? Just looking at WBA's record v the top teams, they are clearly capable of raising their game when playing them, as although they are yet to beat a top 6 team, they've only lost 2 and drawn the other 8...

They only lost the reverse fixture 2-3 and have scored in 9 of those 10 games. Their average goals against of 1.7 is not bad either considering the quality of teams they were playing.

Compare this to the v top 6 records of the other teams near the bottom...

    West Ham (1-1-8)
    Swansea (0-2-10)
    Hull (1-1-9)
    Villa (3-1-6)
    WBA (0-8-2)
    Norwich (1-2-7)
    Cardiff (1-1-9)
    Fulham (0-0-12)
    Sunderland (3-1-8)

To lose just 2 of these games while their relegation rivals have all lost 6 or more is a good effort. City looked really poor v Sunderland last week and were lucky to get a point in the end. City have already lost to Villa, Cardiff and Sunderland as well as drawing v Norwich (although these games were away from home) and Sunderland showed last week (and in the cup final) if you get your tactics right they struggle.

Yeah, I'm on the draw, away win and 2-2. Awful start for them but back in it now, really unlucky with the disallowed goal too.

West Brom were piss poor, I'd like to have said that was due to City being so good but it wasn't, the game was as flat as a pancake.
It looked like the Baggies were just content to concede as few as possible, considering their current league position I would have expected them to at least give it a go for the last half hr or so.

Can I go on a OneDunMe like type rant here and ask what is it with this love in with Luke Shaw?

First Shearer on MOTD and then Carragher/Neville tonight on MNF saying how well he played at Villa Park on Saturday - He didn't .

I was at the game and yes - he did make three or four good runs forward ( against a distinctly average Villa team it has to be said) but most of the game he was poor. Villa played Marc Albrighton on the right flank (yes Albrighton) and for most of the game when he was given the ball and attacked him he had no idea what to do. He was lucky not to be yellow carded for a blatant body check in the first half (not shown on MOTD highlights) which meant the yellow he eventually got in the second (after being outsmarted by Albrighton again) would have meant he was red carded.

He is nowhere near good enough to play for England yet and if he does play in the world cup he will definitely be exposed

I think Shaw is a very good player much as I did Baines when I first watched him at Wigan, I wouldn't go as far to say he's an International player yet but he has loads of potential and will be knocking on the door when Cole steps down along with funnily enough Baines.
Flannagan though is the one that has impressed me most this year at left back, he's still got a lot to learn but he's progressing so fast you'd think he was a seasoned vet rather than a young kid, at just 21 he looks a cracking prospect for the future.

I, personally, would feel more comfortable with Ryan Betrand at left back than either Shaw or Baines.

I'm not saying that I know more than Mourihno or Roy Hodgson - only I would be interested in their reasoning why I am wrong as they both clearly disagree with me
