    Updated odds here.. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/non-league/conference-premier/winner

Early thoughts are Skybets 13/2 about Bristol Rovers. I know teams who are relegated from Lge2 generally struggle to bounce back at the 1st attempt. I dont know if any team has even managed before tbh, but 13/2 does look a bit big to me. They will be very well supported that's for sure.

What's the thoughts on Aldershot TC?

Hereford have been booted out the league and the last i heard we have no ground and no team. They had been accepted in to the Southern League and had an opening fixture at home against St Neots Town.
    ..No, me neither.

I'm still getting to grips with this league from a punting viewpoint (in other words, I don't know what I'm talking about).

I like the look of Gateshead, who have lost a handful of players from their play-off squad, but they've got decent enough replacements. They've even paid money for a player which is almost unheard of at this level. I'm not sure about champions, but I'd expect them to make the play-offs in which case BetVic's 7/1 for promotion looks a bit generous and I've had some. Jon Shaw has returned to Gateshead after a difficult couple of seasons at Luton, and if he can get back to the form he had when he was last at the Heed I'd expect him to bang them in, which makes the 40/1 for top goalscorer look a bit generous and I've had some EW (1/4, top 4). The top scorer market looks a bit over the place, with Aldershot's Brett Williams joint favourite. He's good, but I'm not sure he's the best.

Aldershot? Word is our manager has got a mid-table budget. The players we're getting in look a step above what we had last season, but the manager has gone for quality over quantity so we've got a small squad. I'd expect us to start brightly but fade once injuries, suspensions and heavy pitches take their toll unless we get some decent loans in.

Relegation: Macclesfield have money problems, and Dartford looked poor and only stayed up due to reprieves but with only BetVic pricing up relegation markets I'm going to wait before investing in them.

I wish Hereford luck, whatever league they manage to play in. The wild celebrations when they won at Aldershot on the final day must seem like a kick in the teeth now.

I'm also keeping an eye out in the north and south, as I'll be doing championship multiples of these three leagues. I'm toying with taking Guiseley for promotion following thee way they stormed up the league during the second half of last season which would make BetVic's 5/1 to go up look a bit generous, but I'll see if anyone else puts out prices first. In terms of the northern winners, Barrow have apparently invested quite a bit so are probably worthy favourites.

No idea about the south, but based on last season's places the prices look about right.

Good luck TC, looks like i'm not going to be going to any matches with Herefords current situation so wont have much to add to these leagues. I'll definitely be reading your thoughts on them and maybe giving them the kiss of the death by following you. Sorry :)

Good luck to Aldershot too :thumb

Nothing to do with this seasons Conference but a pal of mine just reminded me of this and posted an old pic up.

West Ham 3 Hereford Utd 1 FA Cup 4th round replay Feb 1972

    Att: 42,271

Thousands of Hereford fans locked outside the ground without tickets. Some of them made it to the top of this block of flats over looking Upton Park to to get a glimpse of the game...

More relegation prices are up, and I've finally taken Dartford at BetVic's 5/4. I think they'll struggle as I don't think they're much better than last season's 22nd.
