    What a nightmare that was.
For a long time I thought we were really goosed.

we've lost a few posts but at least it doesn't look like we haveto start over again.

still have a few more jobs todo and get horsenap back but at least I've saved both databases.

I've redone the server too and loaded up the latest security patches, so it's been like starting from scratch again.

yes it's my cache - good reminder for everyone to delete their browsing history . I suppose most of you fuckers will do that regularly as soon as you hear the missis's footsteps coming up the stairs

Looks like the hackers came onto the server through Horsenap as their database looks to be bolloxed.

Don't say that lol as I've just purchased a new license for it.

It had a couple of good posters but it's also good for SEO purposes, looks like I'll have to start it from scratch again.

If it's too much of a pain in the arse for Seen, Beamer and Samoan I can bring it back into betnod and just use the name for free bets etc.

as I said I've just purchased a new license for it to get the latest forum software as I was just about to make a nice shiny new forum for them.

Tell me about it, I'm just pissed off we seem to have lost Horsenap.

I've redone the whole server applying every security fix going, and If I do have to reinstall Horsenap it's going side by side with Betnod on the server instead of elsewhere where it became vulnerable.

When I initially installed Horsenap I used webmin (a free web control panel) because we only had a one domain license for plesk (another web control panel that came free with the server for one domain) which betnod took up, it just goes to show that it doesn't pay to be tight lol as the attack came through webmin.

I've now paid to extend our plesk license for 30 domains (that is the minimum you can get after upping from one domain ) so now Horsenap should be safe and sound.
Plus now I can use the same control panel to admin both sites.

Facebook should have been working Traeth as that's where I was posting updates.

Your post has given me an idea to put Horsenap on another server altogether so we'll always have somewhere to go one way or the other should the worst ever happen again, I'm not saying it will as were as secure as secure can be now but there is always some bastard about trying to go one better.
I'm running scheduled backups now too, downloading to a local machine, so we'll also have a recent copy of the database at any one time.

As for Horsenap it looks like we'll have to start over again because the database is completely fcuked and the previous backups were stored on the server which was also fcuked too.

It basically means if you had previously registered on horsenap please do so again..
