Thursday Night Football ( or 1:30 Friday Morning over here ) and a match up between the Kansas City Chiefs and my Oakland Raiders. Been a bit quiet on the subject lately A) because no one else on here really cares and B) because the Raiders are currently winless. Only 6 games to go, so things are getting serious, ( though most Raider fans have been prepared for a winless season for a while now ) and I do fear the worst tonight. Come what may, will be watching to the bitter end and I suppose stranger things have happened.

From a betting perspective, surprised to see KC's running back Jamaal Charles available at 7/2 for first TD scorer. The Chiefs have yet to register a Touchdown from a Wide Receiver and one assumes they will run it a lot tonight ( Back up running back Knile Davis not a bad bet at 11's either ). On the Bet 365 list of TD scorers, they have omitted Latavius Murray, Brian Leonhardt and Kenbrell Thomkins and this looks a bit of an oversight as all should see plenty of playing time. The 12/1 for " ANY OTHER TD SCORER " therefore has some appeal. Also had small bets on ANDRE HOLMES, MICHAEL RIVERA and VINCENT BROWN all of the Raiders

Oakland record their first win in over a calender year. Built a decent lead at one point and made it tougher than it should have been, but I'll take it any way it comes. Double bonus for me as Bet365 did indeed make a mistake omitting LATAVIUS MURRAY from their first TD scorer list. Not only did he score first, but he also added a 2nd on a long run

Your bet is looking a bit better now Kegs, with the Cowboys winning their division and procuring the number 3 seed in the NFC play offs. Their initial opponents on Sunday are the Detroit Lions and they will go into the game as decent favourites. Looks like they will have to go through one or both of the Packers and ( defending superbowl champions ) Seahawks to win the NFC Crown. Should they do that they will meet the champions of the AFC in the Superbowl. At the moment the Patriots would probably be the Favourites, but could not discount any of them. I do like an outsider so have had a small wager on 2 of the " wild card " teams in the shape of the CAROLINA PANTHERS and the CINCINNATI bENGALS. Both have a fair bit to do to win it outright, but I feel they just about have enough talent to do so.

Spent the first half flicking between the NFL and the darts final, but from what I have seen the Cowboys are lucky to be only trailing by 10. The Dallas QB has been getting murdered and they need to protect him better. As I write this the Cowboys have just created a Turnover on the first play of the 2nd half, so could be game on.

Briefly picked up for you Kegs, but the Cowboys could not make it into the end zone and ended up missing a Field Goal. Remains 17-7

Offensive line got shored up a bit and whilst Detroit have contined to prssure the Dallas QB. Tony Romo has had just enough time to make plays. With 2:32 remaining. Dallas lead by 4.
