Ive started to follow the English league One and Two a bit this year due to lack of decent team news and info on the scottish leagues online. I don't know much more than ...actually i dont know fans views. I did till xmas but since then ive mostly just been a BTTS stat-maniac. I do seem to do ok though although i know its kin to buying a lottery ticket. anyhow ive got no one to talk to in the world as i dont do facebook (for the obvious reason that 'i am an online fud') and dont post anywhere else on the net. Lets have a look. Football coupons have always been my best friend. I'll take all the advice that you can offer me too.

Wimbledon and Newport have went off the boil of late from memory. Lost too much on both of late. I couldnt even begin to decipher it. I'll take BTTS though if you give me better than 8/11

Bury seem to be on the upturn but im sure i'll read that even their biggest supporters wont be confident playing anyone at all. exeter are better on the road to are they not? another btts option for me if the price is right.

I was suprised to see wycombe at about 7/1 for the league even though their still up there and about. Again i think they might be better on the road and no suprises if they sneak it 1-0. theyve lost their top striker in the window have they not?

Burton i took at 16/1 for the league but im gonna lose them unless Preston and dunfermline start picking up every point they can. Dunno much about cheltenham nor burton on the road so i can pass this one over.

Mansfield done a lot of business in the window. Possibly the team that have got in the most players in all the english leagues. Ill go read up a bit on them but they just dont score enough goals home or away for me to ever connsider them for anything.

Northampton have picked up well since getting a new manager a few months ago i think. Had a great result away from home last time too i think. Cant say much about morcambe but i still dunno if i could take northampton at shades of odds on.

Oxford v Luton is a bit of a 'shitty derby' is it not? Probably 60 miles between them for all i know but i could back anyone at Oxford these days although i prefer to be on luton at home.

Fuck the enigma that is Portsmouth. 16 thousand fans a home game putting up with their shit every week. Again i aint taking them at odds on to pick up a rare 3 points. Is it their away form thats really bad and their home form just bad?

Plymouth i missed. things happening at Accrington poss? mmmm i could be interested in the home. If my memory serves me well i think plymouth have only let in 5 goals or something at home. Well its a start to a coupon.

Speaking of home teams here comes shrewsbury. southend not bad on the road but shrewsburys home record has to be respected especially at odds against imo.

Tranmere have done me a few turns since they got their new manager. Their roll might well have stopped mind. Carlise where possibly the worst team in the league up until xmas. Now they seem to be getting some suprise results. If it wasnt for the internet i would have had every betting penny i had on tranmere. It might not be that clear cut though.

York are a funny team to me. i think they went 16 games last season only conceding about one goal. Dont know much about them this season but i think its the same players. Ive seen online tipsters backing against them the last few weeks mind. Dunno how theyve been getting on.

Back Stevenage to beat Mansfield
Stevenage are well worth backing for victory at Mansfield. Graham Westley's men have lost their last couple of games but that looks like a blip to me with the month of action before that producing five wins and one draw from six games. Mansfield aren't in great shape with only one victory from 11 matches seeing them drop into the relegation zone. The Stags haven't won at home since the end of November so I have to take Stevenage at 9/5 for the three points.

Back Dagenham to beat York
Followers of my Football League tips will know that backing York at odds-on for a home win is downright daft. The Minstermen have only won one of their 16 games at Bootham Crescent this season so I'm very, very interested in a nibble at 19/5 shots Dagenham for victory on Saturday. York are on a five-game run without a win and the Daggers enter this game on a high after beating Cheltenham 3-1 last weekend.

If we want to be moving up the table then its a game we have to win. I went to the reverse fixture and watched possible one of the most inept Tranmere performances i've ever seen.
http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/tranmere-v-carlisle.902/

Northampton fans feeling good about their team-

Fancy us to have to much for Morecambe, they are clearly a steady side, hard to break down etc. However we are the top scorers in the league so you would expect at home us to take it to them. Im going with a 3-1 victory, think at the moment we are creating so many chances that I can see that continuing.

and

And I can quite easily see us scoring 3 on Saturday, the glut of chances we are creating is awesome

Wimbledon and Newport have went off the boil of late from memory. Lost too much on both of late. I couldnt even begin to decipher it. I'll take BTTS though if you give me better than 8/11

Newport's dip in form has pretty much coincided with the speculation about Justin Edinburgh leaving them for Gillingham.

Mansfield fans still quite confident-

Not surprising considering some much improved performances at home lately. We need to turn one of these into a win and sooner rather than later aswell.
http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/mansfield-v-stevenage.910/

missing possibly 2 regulars mind.

both in need of a win to stay in and around the play offs. We, exeter, are doing ok away from home, and prefer teams that want to give us a game, but saying that apparently some of our recent results have flattered us, so reluctantly i'm going for bury to gain revenge for our win at st james park.

and

Bury have recently tightened up at the back but havent look like scoring many . 0-0 is my shout or 1 goal to win it either way.
http://www.footballforums.net/showthread.php/311792-bury-v-exeter

something to consider for the BTTS folks who wonder how the fuck did this game let them down when the stats say otherwise. "YOU CANNAE WIN YOU JUST CANNAE. ITS ALL A BLOODY FIX IM TELLING YEAH!!!"

Shrewsbury fan mentioning thier strike force

We've signed Tyrone Barnett to add to our already big list of strikers at the club.
http://www.footballforums.net/showthread.php/311781-Shrewsbury-Town-v-Southend-United-(07-02-2015)

and as mentioned theyve kept 19 clean sheets this season :eek

Southend fan not totally discounting their chances-

Impressive three wins on the bounce has filled me with confidence, a few weeks a go it would have been a bit doom and gloom, players looked tired, strikers scared to shoot, midfield afraid to pass the ball or at worse played hospital balls to get it away from them. Confidence has now been found and though perhaps not the best opposition howvever three wins and the confidence is there again

Young Joe Piggot seems to be a guiding light in playing up front and with players coming back from bans, injuries we should put up a decent showing against a team thats only conceeded 18 goals in the league and scored 40 goals

Looks tough but i might follow the stats (whatever they are)

Ive got to admit i prefer reading up threads on teams last few games rather than jumping straight into this weeks threads. I possibly dont have enough time in the world to do so nor have the money to justify anything more than 'an english league lottery ticket'.

soz rc dont mind me. internet went down mid post. just posted it and then back to bed.

Apart from Chelsea and Man City the epl looks tricky.

Lennon arriving at Everton might give some players a kick up the arse so they might improve although can't see him starting. I originally was going to back Liverpool but after Wed night I'm not to sure.

Southampton should be too strong for qpr considering sneiderlein and wanyama will be back but can't play them at odds on.

Nothing at all to get my attention in the Prem Keggers, I wouldn't even be happy backing City or Chelsea lol.

Like you I fancy Liverpool but Everton seem to wake up when they play a decent side at Goodison, never mind it being a derby to boot.

I think Newcaslte at over evens might be worth a shout now they have a win under their belt with Carver but again I wouldn't sit happy with it, I also think West Ham might get something against United but even West Hams form has been slightly dipping lately. If United were odds on I may have been tempted to lay them.

Southampton should of been out of sight by half time against Swansea last week, Swans were lucky. I think Sunderland are in with a chance here, 7/2 is a big price but 12/5 DNB is the bet i'm taking.

Burnley missed out on a few transfer targets in the window and while WBA got beat 3-0 at home to Spurs last week they played very well and were very unlucky not to get 2 or 3 goals themselves. I'm chancing the 2/1 for the away win.

Agree with you about sunderland punter, dont think they will lose either, but think they will be happy with the draw, especially seeing as they are the prem league draw specialists.

Utd have got a fantastic record against the happy hammers, not lost in the last 12 and that includes 10 wins, carroll defo out and a few of the defence likely to be missing, evens could be a big price.

Chelsea and city are absolute bankers slick, hull and villa are dire, villa not scored a goal for 5 games and hull just got beat 3 nil at home by the geordies.

Im hoping rather than predicting that the blue scousers get at least a draw, on the latest stevie me part of the farewell tour, if sturridge starts everton are in trouble, he will put them chances away unfortunately.

Cant even try and predict any of the other prem games, all of them are too close to call.

Dont know if any of you follow non league, but fc utd are away at torquay in the fa trophy tmw, and theyve sold 1500 tickets, plus you can pay on the gate, so it could end up being like a home game. Fc are 5 to 1 and beat conference north league leaders fylde in the previous round.

9/2 best price for an FC Utd win now Howson, i'll still have some of that though, cheers.
Torquay haven't won a league game since early December, however their form in this competition has been very good and they seem to be taking it seriously, scoring 11 conceding 0 in the previous three rounds.

FC will be their biggest test to date though and as you say 1500 away tickets sold and on the weekend we remember Munich it could turn out to be a generous price. A small bet for me.

Had a wee dabble of FC Utd as well at 19/4 (first time I've saw that price with lads)

Agree also on WBA because I think Fletcher arriving will give them a bit of a boost.

Forest are definitely in my trixie at that price. New manager a positive and Wigan are shite.
I'm going to chance Bury at value odds too. I expect them to kick on now and Stevenage have lost 3 on the trot.

Ooh, Derby for the 3rd selection?? Big price, not much between the two sides, only 3 goals infact. Dunno. I'm looking for a 2/1 or more here which makes Spurs tempting too.
Nah fuck it. I'm going to be a silly twat and throw Villa in. What a plonker.

Trixie
Forest
Bury
Villa

Good luck with Bury Punt, I must have picked them over half a dozen times this year and every time they have let me down and that was when they were playing at home,. you have some balls picking them away lol.
Villa too I see, in for a penny in for a pound I suppose, good luck m8 because I think you'll need it.

I think Sunderland could be a decent bet at nearly evens and I'm quite surprised to see such a large difference of odds in the Liverpool v Spurs game, I thought those odds would be a lot closer, could be one for laying Liverpool imo @ odds on.

Palace and West Brom look like tempters too for home wins, ehhm decisions decisions.

Palace were tempting for me too Slick, Pardew putting one over on a club who's supporters treated him really poorly throughout.
But due to me being a suspicious bastard i wondered what agreements were made as part of the deal to let him go to Palace?
I probably read too much into stuff at times but decided to leave Palace out, even though i favour them.

I agree with Slick that Spurs price looks big. I never saw it but by all accounts they were the better team and thoroughly deserved 3 points v Arse.

All good things must come to an end but hopefully not tonight. Northampton have won 5 on the bounce and I'm backing them to get the 6th away to the monkey hangers.

I'm also liking Derby punt. Their recent form looks better on paper than Bournemouths. They also won 2-0 earlier in the season against them which sways it towards them but both teams would most probably settle for a point the now if they were given a chance.

Southampton have been scrapping the results together and i can see West Ham at least picking up a point. Don't know if I've got the balls to back them to pick up all 3 mind.

Imo Hull are the worst team in the league and i agree Villa should beat them. Granted they held Man Citeh at the weekend but I'm putting that down to Toure still being away.

Chelsea may win but are way too short at home to Everton. It seems to me that Jose would love Chelsea to win every game 1-0 because he seems to reign them in once the go ahead. Villa were unlucky not to get a point on Sat and Everton will run them close on Wed.

What's happening at Leicester? Managers sacked and then he's not sacked. Did someone from sky let the cat out of the bag 72 hours too early?
Gung ho tonight - shit or bust.
Correct score bonkers bets 4-3 Arsenal 150/1 1-3 Leicester 100/1

I've read a lot of Bournmouth fans on forums saythat Derby outplayed them in the reverse fixture and they are the best footballing side they've played this season.

If Derhy play like they did for the last hour on Saturday they would beat anyone in this league and half of the teams in the Prem but- two things - even when they are flying they are apt to put in the regular flat performance (two of the games live on Sky in December and the one a few weeks befor against Wigan spring to mind) and although the new additions to the squad might possibly stop that from happening on the run in, Keggers has hit the nail on the head - it's tight up there and both teams would secretly shake hands and walk away with a point each without playing the match if they could get away with it .

Nailed on draw for me
