4.10 York - Chief Manakato EW 16/1

Already backed Pocklington in this but on further inspection i think that CM may be worth an each way punt at the price , since coming back from a 78 day lay off back in June has run four times resulting in figures of 2,1,3,1 .. so comes into this in decent form , beat Trefor last time out and that one won here earlier in the week so for me thats boosted the form a tad. Distance , class and going all have ticks in the right boxes and he gets in here at bottomweight , looks to be decently drawn , would probably have to improve a bit to take this but given his price and form im willing to risk that.
Edward Greatrex comes here to ride just this one which caught my eye , seems to get on well with the horse with two wins and three places from his seven rides to date , including the last four outings. Has a 17% strike rate in the last three weeks and when riding for Jack Channon over the same period the pair have a 50% SR.
Jack Channon has been in good form lately with his horses being there or thereabouts , since the 15/8 his figures read - 2,2,5,1,1,13,3,2,3 and though he has three out today this is the only one he sends to York. In the last 14 days hes sent out 15 runners with 4 winning and 5 placing for a strike rate of 26.67% and has a profit of +£14.44.

No luck with CM but Pocklington was third (took 11/2 last night)

Good effort with Dark Thirty Samoan , good 6th at the price least yer got a run for yer money and it werent far away
