3.38 Thirsk - It Just Takes Time 8/1
Competitive looking race where a few look to hold a chance but im gonna side with It Just Takes Time , arrives on the back of a decent enough second last time out .. has won over todays CD and has two wins and a place from seven runs at the course overall. Has won from higher marks than todays and distance , going and class all have ticks in the right boxes and looks decently berthed as well so hopefully he can be there or thereabouts at what i consider to be a fair price. Mark Walford has his string in good order at the moment , in the last fourteen days hes sent out six runners on the flat with three winning , and a further two placing , for a profit of +£32.25 .. whilst claimer Jack Nicholls takes the ride for the first time , takes a useful 5lb off , and has been in good form lately with four wins and two places from his 13 rides on the turf in the last couple of weeks.
4.13 Fontwell - Janworth 9/2
Janworth has been in decent form this term having won two of her four outings after a lengthy break of 334 days , bit unlucky not to have three wins under her saddle tbh as she was going well enough at Shuvvel when tipping up .. fair fourth when last seen , she goes up in trip today and if she sees it out i think she can definatley be there or thereabouts. Placed on sole start at the course. Jamie Snowden been in good form lately - 1,1,2 since 18th August .. and won with two of his three hurdlers in the last fortnight , and has a 75% strike rate when sending his horses here this season , Gavin Sheehan in the plate and he knows the horse well having ridden her eight times resulting in a win and two places , 50% strike rate when riding in hurdle races in the last 2 weeks with 2 wins and a place from 4 rides , 50% strike rate when teaming up with the trainer over the past three weeks and has a 33% strike rate over the last 3 weeks , does well when coming here to ride with a 40% SR this season.
9.00 Newcastle - Cuban Fiesta EW 10/1
Denis Quinn sends just Cuban Fiesta up to the Toon tonight making the horse one of the longest travellers of the meeting , and hes been in fair form lately with two winners and a placer from his last four runners , in the last two weeks hes had two runners on the all weather with one winning and the other placing and made a profit of +£21.00. In the last month the trainer has a 37.5% strike rate and a profit of +£23.50 so the fact he sends just this one out today caught my eye. Horse has only won once in its career and that was over tonights CD , back in May of this year beating the re opposing Desert Raider by a neck , since then he hasnt really shown much but seems to reserve his best efforts for Newcastle with a record of a win and two places from four runs over CD .. back down to that winning mark i think he could go close. Dylan Hogan won on him in that sole victory and hes reunited with the horse tonight , seems to get on with the horse with a win and two places from hos three rides to date. Been in good form with a 17.1% strike rate over the last four weeks along with a healthy profit of +£26.00. Has a 22.2% strike rate when riding here this term and has a 100% SR when teaming up with the trainer over the last three weeks. Given the fact that the horse has only won once to date , and its overall profile i think an each way is the best way to go tbh.
