I cocked up here. As soon as I saw the games/odds I had a decent bet on Bradford to beat Hartlepool thinking that because off the start to the season Hartlepool have had and because Bradford take this competition seriously especially as they got to the final of it last year.

Bet was placed but then 10 minutes after hitting the button it dawned on me that it was the Capital Cup that they got to the final of and not this diddy Johnstone Paint Trophy.
 
I've had a small punt on Sky's 11/1 for Wolves to win the competition. That's partly on the grounds that the southern section looks slightly stronger, that Wolves' web side admits they'll rotate, but will still be able to put out a strong side, and that their demanding fans will want success on all fronts. So all unscientific but at least gives me an interest in the tournament.
