Fucking hell, with choices like that I'd almost be prepared to give Hodgson another couple of years :unsure I say that as someone who believes the manager of any national side should be from that country, so ruling out any of the non-English managers on there.
 
I don't fancy any of the English managers looking at that list.
Bilic would probably do a good job but he won't be looking to pick up the poison chalice when West Ham's future is looking bright and moving to the Olympic stadium.

I'm also quite surprised Klinsman's not on the list. he'd do a better job than most on that list.

I used to think that way RC but none of those on that list inspire me, I'd rather get Eddie Jones lol.
 
Me neither Slick, but quite frankly, nor do half of our players, but we're stuck with what we've got, we can't go and borrow a few Italian defenders just because ours are shite. If it was to be a foreigner, I see Laurent Blanc has just been sacked by PSG...
 
Just had a look on Oddschecker, he's not even on the list. A list that includes the likes of Tim Sherwood and Nigel fucking Adkins.

Southgate backed in to 2/1 already. Guess as manager of the U21s strictly speaking he's got to be first in line. Not really a particularly inspiring choice though.

My point being, Graham Taylor got it cos he was a clean candidate, Steve McLaren the same but admitted to an affair just before being appointed to ensure no skeletons, Hodgson the same cleanness but I had higher hopes as he'd managed in different places, although Liverpool still didn't consider him big enough.

If I trusted the press and some of the thicker elements of the English population not to give him a hard time at the slightest sign of anything going wrong, I wouldn't mind Howe. But I don't. More likely to get Don Howe than Eddie.
 
Good point Swoops. Personally I think Eddie Howe would be absolutely perfect . bring some calm and confidence into the job.
