I heard Hayley Turner on TV the other day talking about a horse called Effistorm and, specifically, its race on 1st of August. She said that she was lucky to get a gap and win the race and that a hose ridden by Richard Hughes (Silenzio) was going equally well going into the last furlong and may well have beaten her.

Well Silenzio is entered for two races this week and has to be worth a look based on those comments alone. Also, Effistorm won Sunday's race too which gives a kind of a theoretical boost to this one.

Friday 26th - Newmarket 505
The worrying thing is that Richard Hughes is on "My Kingdom" for Pat Morris and not on Silenzio (trained by Richard Hannon). I'm not sure about the politics but I would have thought Hannon could have got RH if he thought he was in for the prize money (only a 7k race, but still).

Monday 29th - Warwick 210
What catches the eye immediately is that this is a class 5 race (whereas the last race and the above are class 4). No jockey bookings listed yet but I wouldn't be surprised to see Mr Hughes aboard this one and I would be even less surprised to see it go close.

Only entry now is for 2.10 Warwick on Monday - with Kieran O'Neill booked for the ride.

I half expected it to be pulled with Hughes not being on it. Bit of a puzzle as to what excuse the've given. Maybe it won't be fit for Monday either. I can't imagine that the ground will vary that much between the two meetings.

Talk talk was down yesterday so unable to post.

have to be brief butIsland Chief, could be worth noting. Tumbled down the weights, trainer change, but wins generally come within 7 days days. Runs today and also entered in a Am race in 2 days time.

Not looked at todays race but worth a look for the next few races.

Island Chief finished 8th of 13, having tracked the pace on the outside. Would have been a perfect run based on my assumption it would in two days time, but has been scratched. It will probably run off a 2 month break now, go unbacked and win.

Not down for tomorrow but has two entires on Tuesday so we shall see.

Noble Attitude is a horse I noted when I backed it last time out and finished 8th of 11 at Southwell in a class 6 event over a 1m.

Possibly runs on Thursday at Wolverhampton at 1m1f and 107yrds class 7 event.

Looks pretty paceless and a plodder, but at the weights I make him a fair bet.

The above horse Noble Attitude has been pulled out of the above race, now decleared to run on 7th feb in a class 6 lady amateurs event over 1m 3f,jockey booked to ride (7lb claimer).Im not surprised then gone for the longer distance race, but now in the hands of an amateur jockey puts you right off having a decent bet.Im hoping it runs poorly in the hands of this lady amateur,in hope of a big run next time out in the hands of a pro jockey, should they go down that road.

Keep an eye on the entries for Katkeau. Bottom weight in a grade 3 handicap hurdkle yesterday and travelling like a contender when blundering 3 out. Looks like it's weighted to be a winner soon with the right entry.
