Ive been having a discussion with someone for weeks about this and we may see him turn up on here and join in, He says the only way to win money is inplay betting as teams change, players change they could be unstoppable for weeks and then play absolutely rubbish so if you backed them at 1.30 and they play rubbish and lose but after 10-20 minutes you can see that then obviously you would never back them at 1.30. My point is yeah thats true but the only way potentially to win si backing value (Teams that are over priced, laying teams that are underpriced). Discuss

i have done everything i have backed has been value imo

Not so sure about Football Yorkie but i know a few folk that reckon they could make a living of it on the horses in running if they were inclined as the down fall is the amount of time you need to sit at a computer.

I also know plenty of folk who reckon they could. I also know for a fact that they are talking out of their arses.

Aye, tell them good luck against the 7 second delay

it isnt the only way but theres alot to be said for in-play on the football compared to horse racing.

outside the biggest tv games, markets tend to move in fairly noticable patterns in football regardless of whats happening on the park. so every team starting at 1.30 going 1 up after 20 mins will typically goto the same price as the next 1.30 side taking the lead, yet both goals couldve come about in completly different ways.

it takes skill and you need to forget everything youve ever know about football punting to make it work, it aint easy.

i used to only play on the next team to score markets a fair bit, i enjoyed it, ht 1x2 markets can be goldmines for all outcomes between 40-45 mins too.

takes time and patience, i was betting sweety money but showed a profit.

i signed up to betfair 8 years ago, still seeing "surprises" now. youre not as smart as me yorks but youre heading in the right way just thinking about it, talking to the right people helps.

So inplay betting is probably the way to go, ive been trail and testing it over the past 2-3 days only paper testing but it seems to be working much better. Maybe its pure luck or i can see things easier than pre match betting :unsure

Yorkie, my bit of advice is that you need to know something about what you are betting on, some bit of study or information, you can't be betting on 2rd div teams in Ecuador and shite like that, and why do you always bet on a win and never a draw? there is 3 outcomes in a football game, draws are common, for example half the games in the last round of the Champions league were draws. Odds are good for the draw too :) Good Luck. anyway I am away to work and to pay my taxes, anyone that is on here now is only a waster,:D

like i say the advantage is obvious if you stay away from the top games, prices follow a pattern thats tied into the pre ko odds, the game doesnt.

it isnt easy money though, sometimes youll win nowt and other times bucketloads.

there was a fluminese game last season i was betting, they were priced as the away side but when the pictures came through they were kicking off in an empty neutral ground that caught everyone out. the bots pricing up the game didnt react to the venue change throughout the 90 minutes, kept giving sao paulo the home advantage, flu pumped them 4-0, could see after each goal they werent stopping.

games like that are rare but they highlight the retardedness of folk letting their computers bet for them, inplay gives you more info than the market.

I dont like backing the draw as most times ive done it a goal late on has screwed me :banghead

Lay off in running then you tool.

Obviously there are limited in play options when you're betting on the Vietnamese under 11 league

thats why you bet in play yorks, if the games a draw into the 80th minute and both are going for it then lay off.

if both teams do the tippy tappy stuff with the back 4, wait for treatments after diving or the fans just sit about smoking fags and talking on their phones... then back the draw.

Its something ive never done, but being able to bet as the match unfolds should be an advantage to punters.

How many punters blow a big part of there bank, when they backed Man Utd at 1.01 in running last night.

I'd say not many. Apart from the odd retard.

According to the racing post 1M was matched at odds of 1.03 and lower
