I've done my first two antepost bets to win the league, a bit earlier than I expected, on Fylde (10/1, Sky) and Wrexham (11/1, Betway). I think the prices are wrong so I've jumped in now. Notts County are the bookies' favourites, but sadly the club has financial and ownership issues so I don't agree and can see them drifting - their media headlines are about off field stuff rather than playing staff. Fylde did well last season and continue to have an investor and are bringing in quality. Wrexham also did well and are bringing in decent players as well. Both are also long enough for hedging to be profitable if necessary during the season as well.

I can't see Aldershot setting the world alight after our reprieve from relegation. :cry I hope I'm wrong.

Will be backing Fylde for promotion (they made the playoffs last season), like you said theyve got an investor, whos aim is to get them league football - Im suprised to see them favourites to win it though.

Do they still play on the artificial pitch?

I admit I didn't know Fylde had an artificial pitch in the first place :embarassed

I've had a punt on Fylde's Danny Rowe as top scorer (9/2 Hills, although 11/2 is available but not with bookies I'm with). He got 27 last year, and there's no reason why he shouldn't be prolific again, although of course there's the risk that someone of his quality will attract suitors from the league.

I was also going to jump on Solihull Moors at Unibet's 50/1 Oddschecker are showing, but that seems to be an error for the more realistic 16/1 :thinking

Had a dabble on Wrexham to win the league at 10/1 - theyve bought acouple of forwards in, that will hopefully address last years goalscoring problems.

Also will be including the following in accas:-

Dover top half finish 6/5 - Andy Hessenthaler had them flying at end of last season, im hoping that continues into this season

Billericay win National League South 4/1 - made some very good signings for that level of football

I thought about Billericay but went for Havant and Waterloville, which after Saturday's results may have been the wrong toss of the coin. I have got on Sky's Wrexham to be promoted at 11/2, which is significantly longer than others offer (as low as 7/2 with BetVic). Wrexham may or may not win the league, but it'll be abig surprise (to me, anyway) if they're not top seven at the end, and I'd expect them to be well fancied in the playoffs and so much shorter.

My initial treble for the 3 National League divisions (Notts County, York, Havant, 240/1) has got off to a 'shaky' start. Fylde, York and Billericay are all looking strong, and Paddy's treble of 65/1 gives a lot of room for manouvre.
