1.50 York -Air Force One EW 9/1
Obviously not 100% confident given the nature of the race but i think that Air Force One could go well at a decent ish price , drawn 10 out of 20 aint that bad imho , won a nineteen horse affair here at York lto beating Bona Fortuna by a length and a quarter , that was only his second start for this stable and i think there could be more to come. Trainer been bang in form lately with a 75% strike rate over the last three weeks , since the 26th July his record reads - 5,1,1,1,1,4,1 and he sends just this one out today. Has a strike rate of 11% overall when sending his runners here .. PJ McDonald in the saddle , ridden the horse once resulting in a ninth of sixteen on stable debut , when teaming up with the trainer over the last 21 days they have a 100% strike rate , and hes been riding well overall with a 21% SR over the same period.
Big race , big field so luck has to play a part i think but with only 8 runs under his belt i think theres probably more to come and with the trainer / jockey in such good form at the moment i think he could well be there or thereabouts.
Tempted to do a combination forecast / win singles for this one with
Air Force One
Brazen Bolt
Vintage Clarets
Jordan Electrics
The Man

5.20 York - Amorim EW 16/1
George Boughey has his string in good order of late with figures of - 3,2,1,5,1,1,4,1,4 since the 16th August and he has just this one out today. PLaced on sole start in class two on debut when second , went in at the next time of asking in a class 5 novice stakes race winning by six lengths , and then lto was a 6 length third in the class one Irish Rose Bowl Stakes , would have to improve on that effort but thats totally possible given thats hes only had the three runs , has a couple of decent entries including one for the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes so trainer must think hes a capable sort. Trainer has a 50% strike rate here this term along with a tidy profit of +£23.25 and has a 27% strike rate in the last couple of weeks .. Billy Loughnane has ridden the horse on all three starts to date , and has gone to the meeting for just this one ride , been in cracking form of late (28% SR in last two weeks) , won on three of his five rides yesterday , two of which were for the trainer. When the pair have teamed up over the past three weeks they have a 29% strike rate.
Hopefully he can go close and I get a run for the money.
